Chan Chan 2006 Nestling into the pre-existing grid Chan Chan Community Centre acknowledges Chimu cosmography through CULTURAL CONTEXT underpinned by communitarianism and utilitarianism. Chan Chan Community Centre is "a next generation type of lodging, a self sufficient refuge whose service plan is based on contemporary parameters of zero ecological impact which will promote a new kind of habitability, such as a self generation of energy a elimination of waste residue" by applying the principles of permaculture. Chan Chan Community Centre "promote[s] the development of a forward thinking consciousness in as far as lodging, tourism and ecological culture are concerned."
