We aim to empower people with disabilities from ethnic backgrounds, their carers and families to fully participate as members of the Victorian community.

ArtAbility is ADEC’s flagship, yearly art exhibition held in The Atrium, Federation Square. To celebrate the beginning of Summer we invited artists with a disability, of ethnically diverse backgrounds, to submit works for showing from 6 - 14 December. The result is an exhibition laden with colour, life and joy.

Since it’s beginnings in 2005, ArtAbility has grown into an important event in the ethnic and disability communities and has made its mark on the mainstream artistic calendar. Many artists have been ‘discovered’ through ArtAbility, leading to acquisition of their works by industry, government and other collections.
